Green Off-Grid
Franchises
Green Off-Grid is a renewable energy unit and social enterprise franchise launched by the Mentec Foundation, in collaboration with partners such as Accenture and the Mining Qualifications Authority, to provide solar energy solutions. It focuses on enabling domestic and commercial solar installations, particularly in rural and underserved communities in South Africa.
Mentec founded Green Off-Grid to provide localised solar installation opportunities for emerging green entrepreneurs in Africa.
The initiative aims to enhance energy security, reduce financial strain, and promote sustainable development through solar energy.
Flagship Project
It is part of the Connectivity, Electricity and Education for Entrepreneurship (CE3) initiative.

SAP ERP simplifies and modernises financial management by providing tools for managing everything from accounts payable and receivable to expense reporting and tax compliance. With real-time visibility into financial data, businesses can make more informed decisions and stay compliant with regulatory requirements.
SAP ERP is widely used in South Africa by both public-and private-sector companies. Since 2006, the Mentec Foundation has been a leader in SAP training, introducing the system in secondary schools, commercial enterprises, and corporate social investment (CSI) projects. It has also supported emerging start-ups through its SAP ERP enterprise development initiatives.
